Telephone Dictation service:
If you choose this method,
you establish a four-digit PIN for security purposes. We provide a phone
number, keypad instructions, and PIN for accessing our medical transcription
system. For dial-in dictation, you simply call our 1-800 number, enter your
Personal Identification Number (PIN) and dictate. Press two to record, three
to rewind--that kind of stuff. Using a touch-tone telephone, you can dictate
24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the country. You then talk, and
hang up. The voice audio is captured by our state of the art Digital Dictation
System. Additionally you have access to all of the features available from any
hospital dictation system, including FF, Rewind, Pause, and more.
Digital
Hand Held Recorder:
Hand-held digital
recorders are a little different. A digital hand held recorder is a pocket
size mobile dictation device that stores voice digitally. You can carry the
recorder anywhere and dictate at any time. When you are ready, you can upload
the digital audio file to our medical transcription system using our secure
FTP website. The obvious advantage to hand-held recorders is portability and
they can record many hours at a time. If you like these, (We love these
gadgets) we recommend the Olympus DS-2300 or DS-2 which comes with dss software. At the
end of the day you transfer encrypted files from your recorder to your
computer and send them through FTP to our secure server. Really! It’s as
simple as ABC and we will guide you through the process.
MedNet offers HIPAA compliant medical transcription
services.
